Harare, Zimbabwe – 14 June 2024
Eight2Five Innovation Hub, powered by Old Mutual, a catalyst for innovation and entrepreneurship in Africa, is thrilled to announce a strategic collaboration with Stanford Seed Spark, a renowned entrepreneurship program from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. This collaboration, part of the larger pan-African Seed Spark 02 Africa cohort launched on June 12, 2024, will equip Zimbabwean enterprises with the expertise to drive sustainable growth, leveraging the renowned Spark curriculum and training.
From June to November 2024, over 30 entrepreneurs from Nigeria, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Rwanda, Kenya, and Zimbabwe will undergo an intensive five-month program, gaining access to world-class resources and mentorship. The program’s inaugural cohort from Zimbabwe includes:
- Margaret Chideme – Lifeline Narrative (Creative Arts-Tech)
- Tapfuma Chipunza – Mumoch T/A Print Experts (Sustainable Manufacturing)
- Msindazwe Ndhlovu – Waste Recycling (Circular Economy)
- Brighton Nezomba – Banana By-products (Value Addition)
- Moses Sibindi – Everything Zimbabwean (E-Commerce)
This initiative seeks to support early-stage startups in building resilient and thriving enterprises, fostering economic growth, and creating a positive social impact across Africa.
Eight2Five Innovation Hub partners with entrepreneurs to achieve a shared vision of solving real-world and business problems through technology. Seed Spark, designed by the Stanford Graduate School of Business, helps early-stage entrepreneurs build their strategies, grow their networks, and boost their business acumen.
